After breakfast we will drive to the Ismailien capital of Morocco, the city of Meknes. Upon your arrival to this marvelous ancient city, you will have a guided visit to its main historical monuments, such as Bab Mansour, Lahdim Square, Qara Prison, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Swani Basin. After you check into your hotel, you will have a free afternoon to enjoy the marvelous Lahdim square alone Overnight in Meknes.
After breakfast, your journey continues to the cultural capital of Morocco via the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, where you will get a chance to see the wonderfully preserved original mosaics, Roman road, and city layout. As you travel through the Moroccan countryside we will pass by the Holy City of MoulayIdriss for a photo opportunity. We continue our journey via the green hills, passing by the lake of SidiChahed. Overnight in Fes.
After breakfast you will be joined by an official local guide to start an explorative journey of the Medina where you will visit the many hidden treasures that only the inhabitants of the place know about. Fes served as the capital of Morocco for more than 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest operating university in the world. Your guided tour will take you to MoulayIdriss mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fountains and the Tanneries. After lunch you will also view the exterior of the Royal Palace and walk through the famous Jewish quarter “the Mellah”, where you will have the option to visit one of the few living synagogues in Morocco. Your tour of Fes includes a short visit to the famous ceramic factory, and then you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight in Fes .
After breakfast you will leave towards the apple capital, the little Paris, the city of Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas mountains. We will pass through the city of Ifrane or Switzerland of Morocco, the most beautiful city in Morocco, which was considered as the second cleanest city in the world in 2013. We will also stop at the Cedar forest, the largest one in Morocco, over the Middle Atlas Mountains to visit the oldest Cedar tree in the forest and where you will have the chance to take pictures of the Barbarian apes. Continue our road to join the beautiful city of Midelt. Overnight in Midelt.
After breakfast a journey towards to the southeast of Morocco following the caravan road to join the Berber town of Merzouga, passing through the Ziz Gorges and the famous water-springs of MoulayHachem next to Ziz Valley, then we continue our road to Aoufous Oasis’s with its marvelous valley full of palm trees. Along the road we will stop at The Eye of The Giver, one of nature’s wonders in the southeast of Morocco, as salty water gushes out for more than three meters high in the sky. Continue our road to join to spend the night at the edge of Erg Chebbi. Overnight at the edge of Erg Chebbi.
After breakfast, we will take 4x4 cars to drive through and behind the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit the old Lead Mine of Mifis and visit the nomads of the Sahara and drink a cup of tea with them, then drive further to appreciate the view of the Birds Lake in the middle of the desert. Along the jounrey we will visit the town of Khamlia, the slaves town, where you will enjoy the gnawa music. In the afternoon, return to the Hotel to camel trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, to spend the night under nomads tented camp in the middle of the dunes. Overnight at a desert camp.
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Then you will trek back to the hotel for breakfast and shower. In the way back you would not miss to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes - changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast we will leave for Rissani where we will have a walk in its ancient Souk, this town used to be a must stop for the caravans coming from the sub Saharan countries. We continue our way toward Tinghir, and Todra gorges - the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Then we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as "monkey toes". Overnight accommodation will be in a cozy hotel overlooking the Dades valley. Overnight in Dades Gorges.
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards KalaatMgouna. As we reach KalaaMagouna, the Rose capital where an annual rose festival takes place, we will have an optional stop at a rose distillation unit for you to have a clear idea of how the people of the area turn dry rose into oil and cosmetic productions. Then we continue our journey through the road of One Thousand Kasbah and Skoura Palm grove, where we will visit the ancient Kasbah of Amridili. And then we continue to Ouarzazate or Hollywood of Africa, as so many famous movies were filmed in it such as “Kingdom of Heaven”, “Gladiator”, and “The Mummy”. Before you check into your accommodation, we will stop at the famous cinema for a visit, where you will have a guided tour inside the movie sins. Then we continue our road to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Overnight in a hotel near the Kasbah.
After breakfast we will visit one of the most important Kasbahs in Morocco, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, also served as the must stop for the caravans passing the Daraa Valley to the north of Morocco. This Kasbah also is very famous in movies world as it served as the replacement of Jerusalem in so many movies. We then hit the road to the red city of Marrakesh via the High Atlas Mountains where we will pass by the famous road pass Tizi N Tichka which is (2260m) above sea level and enjoy breath-taking panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains to join the red city of Marrakesh. Overnight in a Riad near Jamaa el fna.
After breakfast in the riad, you will be joined by an official local guide to see all the sites with historical and cultural interest, including the KoutoubiaMenaret; the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Finally, end the morning by walking through the medina alleys -getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. Afternoon a chance to walk around the famous square by your own.Overnight at the same Riad.
After breakfast a journey will take us to a different climate as we hit the road toward the famous town of Essaouira, the windy city. Along the way we will visit the Argan Oil co-operative for you to have an idea of how this famous and only produced in Morocco is made and what does it serve for, and if you are lucky enough you will have the chance to take a picture of herd of goats climbing the argan tree. Upon your arrival to Essaouira in the midday, you will have an entire afternoon for you to wonder the marvelous windy town of Essaouira. Overnight in a riad inside the old medina of Essaouira
After breakfast in your Riad a jounrey will take us back to Rabat via the coastal road. A stop is programmed at El Jadida the former Portuguese town, where will stop for lunch and visit the old port. Then we continue our way to join the economical capital of Morocco, the marvelous city of Casablanca, where we will visit the beautiful Hassan 2 mosque, one of the biggest mosques in the world, then we continue our road to Rabat. Overnight in a riad in the old medina of Sale.
This day will be the final day in Morocco and in which we will take you to the airport according to your flight time.
