Tour Plan

01

DAY 1: Marrakech - Telouet - Ait Benhaddou - Skoura

Depart at 08:00 from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas mountains' Tizi n’Tichka pass. Visit the Telouet Kasbah and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, designated in 1987. We'll pass through Ouarzazate, often called the "Hollywood of Africa." After a 40 km drive, we reach the palm groves of Skoura for an overnight stay.

02

DAY 2: Skoura - Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Tamtatoucht

From the Skoura palm grove, we head southeast to Dades Gorges and Todra Gorges, through arid landscapes and mountains. We pass through Tineghir, the area's nerve center, and proceed along the Todra Valley, notable for its oasis and palm groves. A short walk with a local guide offers insights into the daily life of locals, including women gathering herbs and children riding donkeys. We continue through the Todra canyons, known for rock climbing, until we reach the Berber village of Tamtatoucht for an overnight stay at an Auberge.

03

DAY 3: Tamtatoucht - Amelagou - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)

We journey through arid landscapes and mountains, reaching an altitude of 2000m, passing through the Berber villages in the Ait Hani Valley. Continuing through the small towns of Assoul and Amelagou, we arrive in Erfoud, famous for its fossil factories. Finally, we head to the Erg Chebbi sand sea, where the dunes appear seemingly out of nowhere, and spend the night in a Berber camp.

04

DAY 4: Erg Chebbi - Merzouga Desert Exploration

After breakfast at the hotel, various options await: explore the nearby villages of Merzouga such as Hassi Labied and Khamlia, enjoy an off-road drive around the Erg Chebbi dunes, visit nomads living in desert tents, or relax by the swimming pool (available in summer). Climbing the dunes in front of your hotel is also a great way to experience the Erg Chebbi dune line.

05

DAY 5: Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

After breakfast, a camel trek takes us back to the hotel for a quick shower. We drive towards Fes, stopping to enjoy panoramic views of the Ziz Valley. Crossing the High Atlas mountains again, we reach Midelt for lunch. On the way to Fes, we pass through Azrou and Ifrane, stopping to see the huge cedar forests and their monkeys. We continue to the legendary city of Fes.

What our clients say about us

Your design ideas were above and beyond what we could have imagined

“My husband and I decided to do a summit hike in the Atlas Mountains. We were paired with Mohamed and I couldn’t be happier. From the start he was very clear about how long the hike would take and what we would see. The pace was perfect for our abilities (early 30s with hiking experience). Mohamed pointed out landmarks along the trail and even took photos for us.”
